This Weather Has Been Incredible

Today: Partly cloudy, with an isolated shower possible. Highs around 79ºF. Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with showers possible. Lows falling to around 52ºF.

Today looks to continue in this incredible stretch of days that we have had, stretching back into last week.

Given that last week was Spring Break for WKU students, having that amount of incredible weather to enjoy was very nice. It looks to continue today. Though we will be firmly entrenched in the warm sector of a low pressure system, we will not have to really worry about precip.

The majority of the forcing associated with this system will be to our north. This will keep skies partly cloudy, and winds breezy. Look for temps to jump into the upper 70s, with a shot at 80 or 81 possible.

As we move into the overnight hours, the front will get closer, and temps will actually rise a bit more after dark. I think this may be fairly close to our high. Nevertheless, skies will remain mostly cloudy, with lows falling into the lower 50s. There is a chance that we see some showers/storms, but I don’t think the chances are too high.

Tomorrow: Mostly sunny, with increasing clouds toward evening. High around 66ºF. Wed. night: Mostly cloudy, with rain chances increasing late. Lows around 47ºF.

Well, with one system moving away and another one coming for us, tomorrow looks to be fantastic day. A drier and cooler airmass will have settled across the region, and this will keep skies clear for much of the day, in addition to temps cooler than they will be today.

Highs for the day will end up in the mid and upper 60s. Because of the timing of today’s (Tuesday’s) front, tomorrow’s high may be effected positively, as southwesterly flow in the middle of the night should act to warm us up just after midnight. Something to watch.

Later in the day, be looking for clouds to increase ahead of our next weather maker. This will keep it cloudy overnight and into Thursday, leading to lows only in the upper 40s.

Thursday: Cloudy, with rain possible. Highs around 59ºF. Thur. night: Gradual clearing. Lows around 38ºF.

Ahhhh, Thursday is gonna end the streak of nicer days across the region. A weak shortwave will overspread some divergence across the region, which will force some precipitation across the region.

This will keep the region cooler, with highs in the upper 50s. Overnight, lows will fall into the upper 30s as the clouds move out slowly.

Well, that is all I have! Enjoy the next couple days, because they’ll be awesome! Be sure to follow @WxOrNotBG on Twitter for the latest!
