Labor Day – Isolated Showers; Hot – High 94° / Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 70°
Happy Labor Day everyone! It looks like we’ll be dealing with the heat once more. However, outside of that, today doesn’t look too bad. High pressure located to our southeast will give us a southeasterly breeze throughout the day. This may help push temperatures up to around 94°, or perhaps 95°. Much like yesterday, we can’t completely rule out a quick shower here and there. Pro Tip: Get out and grill.
Showers and thunderstorms should quickly diminish after sunset, allowing for partly cloudy skies overnight, with a low around 70°.
Tuesday – Mostly Clear; Hot – High 93° / Tue Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 71°
Tuesday will be a rinse and repeat forecast from the past several days. High pressure to the east, along with an area of weak low pressure to the west, will funnel air from the south into the region along southerly winds once more. Highs will be around 93°. Because it’s summer, I still wouldn’t be surprised if showers developed once again, however coverage may be more limited compared to today.
Tuesday night will bring partly cloudy skies overnight, with a low around 71°.
Wednesday – Afternoon Thunderstorms – High 86° / Wed Night – Isolated Showers – Low 68°
The weak area of low pressure will move to the north and east of the region throughout the day on Wednesday. A trough will dip into the region, providing us with some upper level divergence ahead of a cold front. Thus, some more organized thunderstorms will be possible on Wednesday. A few storms may be strong with gusty winds. Highs will be around 86°.
Isolated showers will continue into the evening and early overnight hours. Lows will be around 68°. A gradual cool down into the 70s is expected for the rest of the week, but more on that in later forecasts!
