Late April Frost Would be Right on Schedule

A chilly night is expected across Kentucky overnight as low temperatures will dip into the upper 30s. With these temperatures, patchy frost will be possible tonight with the greatest chance of frost in rural locations and cooler valleys.

Bowling Green has not seen a temperature reading in the 30s since April 5. If frost were to occur overnight, the date would only be one day past the averate date of last spring frost (36º) for the city of Bowling Green which is April 22. Check out this map from the NWS in Louisville that displays the average date of the last spring frost.

Bundle up tonight and if you see frost be sure to send a picture to @WxOrNotBG.
