Lingering Showers Diminishing

Rounds of scattered showers & storms have plagued south central Kentucky today, however, we should see showers diminish in coverage as we progress through the remainder of this afternoon into this evening.  Stout winds of 15 to 30mph will be possible during this time, thanks to a tightening pressure gradient across the region.

Gradual clearing skies will take place overnight, thanks to high pressure building in.  This will provide us with plentiful amounts of sunshine for our Tuesday, as wind speeds of 20 to 30+mph remain in the forecast.

Our next disturbance will approach from the west Tuesday night, reintroducing scattered rain showers to the forecast.

We’ll keep chances of the wet stuff around through Wednesday, before another break in the activity arrives Thursday & Friday.

Don’t get too comfortable, as another round of April showers (and storms) are slated to impact the area Friday night thru the early part of Sunday.  It’s getting kind of old, isn’t it??

…point taken.

As far as temperatures are concerned, afternoon highs look to range from the mid to upper 60s thru the remainder of the week, with overnight lows ranging from the low to mid 40s.
