Tell em, Ollie!

Scattered showers and storms have taken over the region this afternoon, and rain chances will only increase as we get into tonight.  A front is expected to stall out over south central Kentucky this evening, with several disturbances slated to ride the boundary northeast over the area.

An Areal Flood Watch will go into effect at 7pm this evening, and will stay in effect until 10am Tuesday morning.  Do not attempt to cross water-covered roadways.  TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN.

Tue 4/14 – Scat’d AM Showers – High 68˚ / Tue Night – Iso’d Showers – Low 52˚

The shield of precip should diminish as it lifts north of the area throughout our Tuesday. Hit & miss showers throughout the morning hours should give way to partly/mostly cloudy skies by the afternoon, with seasonable temps hanging around 70˚.

Wed 4/15 – Partly Cloudy – High 70˚ / Wed Night – Showers & Storms Likely – Low 55˚

Another disturbance looks to lift over the lower Ohio Valley Wednesday, and just how far north the precip makes it will determine our rain chances.

Current guidance has shifted the swath of shower and storms associated with this weather maker just to our south and east, leaving us with partly cloudy conditions to go along with afternoon highs ~70˚.

Wednesday night, activity looks to pick back up, with another round of showers & storms working through the region.  We’ll see more disturbances move through to end the week, keeping spring showers & storms in the forecast…
