Skies will be mostly sunny today with an increase in cloud cover expected overnight as an area of low pressure centered over Kansas moves east. This area of low pressure will bring rain chances to the area on Tuesday.

Tuesday 3/24 – Mostly Cloudy – High 69˚ / Tuesday Night – Mostly Cloudy; Sct’d Showers Showers – Low 55˚

Skies will remain mostly cloudy throughout the day tomorrow as a warm front associated with low pressure to our west lifts north across the state. The warm front will provide enough lift to produce extensive cloud cover and bring rainfall to the northern half of the state. A stray shower is possible across southern Kentucky, but most of the precipitation will stay to our north.

The warm front will also allow for warmer temperatures to move into the region. Despite battling cloud cover, high temperatures will make a run at 70º tomorrow.

As low pressure moves to our north tomorrow night, shower activity will increase overnight. Scattered showers will impact the region with up to 0.1″ of rainfall possible. Low temperatures will remain mild and only fall into the 50s.

Wednesday 3/25 – Iso’d Showers; Mostly Cloudy; Breezy – High 72˚ / Tuesday Night – Sct’d Showers & Thunderstorms – Low 55˚

As one area of low pressure exits to the northeast, another will form in Oklahoma on Wednesday that will move northeast and affect our weather. Ahead of this low, we will see warm air advection across southern Kentucky with breezy southerly winds. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a few isolated showers possible throughout the day. High temperatures will reach the lower 70s.

By Wednesday night, a cold front looks to move towards our region from the northwest. Showers and thunderstorms will increase overnight with up to 0.25″ of rainfall possible. A line of heavy rain looks to line up along the cold front and torrential rain with some rumbles of thunder could impact southern Kentucky during the morning hours on Thursday.
