Saturday Morning Bowling Green Weather Update

Real-time Bowling Green weather radar:

Today 3/21 – Partly Cloudy; Beautiful – High 66˚ / Tonight – Mostly Cloudy – Low 44˚

6am 39˚ – 9am 48˚ – 12pm 60˚ – 3pm 65˚ – 6pm 60˚

Good morning, a beautiful weekend is in store for southern Kentucky as our weather pattern becomes much calmer. Surface high pressure will center itself over the Tennessee Valley today and we will see decreasing clouds this morning in response to high pressure.

High temperatures will reach the middle to upper 60s under partly cloudy skies this afternoon. Clouds will build back into the region overnight as a cold front moves to the east of us. Frontal forcing will be limited to states to our east, but this front will at least provide enough lift to bring mostly cloudy skies back to the region. These clouds will help temperatures remain mild as our lows only drop into the lower to middle 40s.

Sunday 3/22 – Mostly Cloudy – High 63˚ / Sunday Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 39˚

The jet stream flow will be very zonal relative to this time of the year tomorrow. This means that most of the country will not see much of an active weather pattern. Mostly cloudy skies in the morning will stick around throughout the day as an area of low pressure to our south spreads precipitation throughout the southeast United States. High temperatures will reach the 60s once again tomorrow.

As this system moves off to the north and east tomorrow night, clouds will clear out rather quickly in southern Kentucky. Low temperatures will drop down to around 40º

Monday 3/23– Partly Cloudy – High 62˚ / Monday Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 41˚

The beautiful weather will just keep on rolling on Monday with highs reaching the 60s under partly cloudy skies. I know…the forecast is getting a bit repetitive, but at least the forecast calls for mild temperatures and dry conditions.

Unfortunately, this beautiful weather will come to an end by the middle of the work week next week as model guidance is in good agreement that a wet pattern will return to the region.
