Not only did the entire state of Kentucky see a significant winter storm last Monday, but all sorts of weather impacted the region last week.

Much of south central Kentucky saw 8 to 12 inches of snow with the winter storm last week. There were even some reports of 14 inches in central Kentucky.

This heavy snow assisted with record low temperatures throughout the week. Not one, not two, but three different days we saw temperatures come close or exceed our record low.

On top of it all (no pun intended), Bowling Green saw 2.5 inches of rain this past weekend. The 6 to 8 inches of current snow pack absorbed the rain and lead to many roofs leaking and/or collapsing across the region. Minor flooding also became an issue as the frozen ground and snow melt had nowhere to go and created a great deal of run-off.

Here are some temperature records from across the region. All the major cities broke multiple records.
