Enjoy the Warm Bowling Green Weather

Real Time Bowling Green Weather Radar:

Today 11/10 – Mostly Clear – High 68° / Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 50°

Upper level ridging will work into the region today, which will help warm things back up today. Aided by upper level winds from the southwest, temperatures should warm nicely into the upper 60s once again. The warm air will be reinforced at the surface due to our proximity to an area of low pressure to the north of the region.

We’ll be placed in the warm sector of this low pressure system, which means our surface winds will be out of the south. Overall a very nice afternoon is shaping up!

Relatively unsaturated air in the mid levels should keep from forming too many clouds. Nevertheless, a few clouds are possible with a low around 50° in the overnight.

Tuesday 11/11 – Afternoon Showers – High 65° / Tue Night – Isolated Showers – Low 35°

On Tuesday, the cold front associated with the aforementioned cold front will move through the area. This will provide enough lift for some scattered afternoon showers. It looks like the front should move through during the late afternoon and early evening hours on Tuesday. Thus, we should expect to stay dry during the morning commute. Highs should reach the mid 60s once again due to the timing of the front. Below is a depiction of what radar could look like at 6 PM. Notice the front has just passed through Bowling Green.

Winds will shift out of the northwest after the front moves through. This, combined with clearing skies overnight, will cause our low temperature to plummet into the mid 30s.

Wednesday 11/12 – Mostly Clear – High 46° / Wed Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 29°

Our first big shot of cold air of the season arrives on Wednesday as cold temperatures from Canada begin moving southward into the US. Highs will struggle to make it to the mid 40s on Wednesday, so be sure to have a jacket ready if you need to be outside. Not the best day for a ride on the bike…

Winds could increase to around 10 mph on Wednesday. These winds will be pushed out of the an area of strong low pressure to the west of the region, which means the wind in Bowling Green will be quite cold out of the north. Lows will dip into the upper 20s during the overnight hours. At times it may feel like it’s in the teens due to a combination of the low temperatures and the wind speeds.
