Greg Martin Group In Morgantown

The Butler County Arts Guild presents Grammy Award winning guitarist Greg Martin of The Kentucky Headhunters and his personal project, The Greg Martin Group, to the downtown square in Morgantown, KY tonight for a FREE concert to the public!

Opening for the Greg Martin Group will be Josh Mitcham of Jericho Woods.  Food trucks and activities will be taking place while the music is going on.  Music starts at 7pm!  I’ll personally be taking in from grub from this food truck.  If you’re at the event and trying to find me, I’ll probably be next to this thing.  Shogun holds a special place in my stomach…

Shogun FTW!
Shogun FTW!

Now let’s take a look at what we’ll be dealing with weather wise.  After the passing of last night’s storms, a few lingering showers continue to pester the area.

With that being said, pockets of blue skies are starting to show up across south central Kentucky.  We should see the rain hold off through the afternoon as we enter the dry slot of the system, with nothing more than a few light showers/sprinkles possible while the show takes place.  More rain is slated to move into the area, however, I anticipate it to hold off until around midnight.

My current thinking is that the show should stay relatively dry.  Here’s a look at a simulted radar model we refer to as the HRRR.  It’s valid for 6pm this evening and keeps a rather dry slate across south central Kentucky:

Temperature values while the show is taking place will range a few degrees either side of 60˚…perfect to take in some fall tunes!  If you plan on attending, I recommend a jacket and pants.  The model image below displays temperature values at 7pm this evening:

That will wrap up this forecast event post, folks.  Head to Morgantown tonight and be sure to check out The Greg Martin Group and Josh Mitcham of Jericho Woods.  Music starts at 7pm…and IT’S FREE to attend!
