Cooler Temperatures in Store for Bowling Green

Bowling Green Weather / Real Time Radar:

This Afternoon – Partly Cloudy; Breezy – High 81° / Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 57°

3pm 80º – 6pm 76º – 9pm 73º – 12am 67º – 3am 62º – 6am 57º

Good afternoon, after a very busy weather weekend things will be quiet over the next few days. Temperatures this afternoon are around 80º with dew points in the upper 50s. Once again, we find ourselves in a pattern that is more similar to early fall than summer, but no complaints here.

The cold front that brought us a few storms over the weekend is now well to our south and behind it, northwest winds are responsible for keeping things cooler. These winds have made things a bit breezy today, with gusts up to 20mph.

As we head into tonight, winds will become light and temperatures will drop into the upper 50s under partly cloudy skies.

Tuesday 7/29 – Mostly Sunny; Cool – High 78° / Tue Night – Clear; Cool – Low 56°

Expect another cool day tomorrow as we remain under the influence of an upper level trough.  High pressure will begin to move in from the west which will allow for less clouds than we saw today and high temperatures will struggle to reach 80º.

Another cool night is expected tomorrow night with lows in the middle to upper 50s. Be sure to remind yourself..it’s late July.

Wednesday 7/30 – Partly Cloudy – High 84° / Wed Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 60°

Our stretch of below normal temperatures will continue on Wednesday. Temperatures will be a few degrees warmer, but still cool for this time of year. Models have tried to show a few sprinkles during the late afternoon hours as a weak upper-level disturbance rotates through the trough, but we’ll keep the forecast dry for now as high pressure at the surface should keep rain chances out of here.

On Wednesday night, temperatures will drop to around 60º. Cooler than normal temperatures will continue on Thursday before a few rain chances return this weekend. For now, enjoy the cooler weather this week, it’s not often we get a pattern like this in July.
