Good Sunday morning everybody. Today the heat will be the main story as the weather is expected to be, otherwise, relatively calm. However, isolated showers and thunderstorms may develop in the afternoon and evening hours with the typical hot, humid atmosphere for early summer across the Ohio Valley. Highs in the low 90’s across the region and plenty of sun. Enjoy the weather and keep an eye out for that stray storm.

 Monday 6/23 –Partly Sunny, Isolated T’storms – High 92º / Monday Night – Mostly Cloudy; Iso’d T’storms – Low 72º

Monday is a close replica of Sunday with the exception of the return of southerly winds to start out our work week. Expect this to allow for an increase of moisture and increased chances for showers and thunderstorms.

By Monday evening we will be just downstream of a trough of low pressure which will be the next weather maker for our region. Isolated thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon and evening hours. A severe storm here and there cannot be ruled out. Here’s a graphic valid for 7pm Monday which depicts our weather setup for tomorrow:

 Tuesday 6/24 –Scattered Showers & T’storms – High 86º / Tuesday Night – Mostly Cloudy; Iso’d T’storms – Low 70º

Tuesday will be somewhat active weather wise. The storm system pictured above will be slowly be entering the region and frontal lifting will enhance the already unstable atmosphere and will allow for more widespread showers and thunderstorms. Although severe storms are not expected, they are still possible along with the threat for plenty of heavy rainfall for those lucky enough to be under the gun. (Sarcasm)

Keep an eye on the weather and on the radar for any outdoor plans on Tuesday as precipitation coverage will be more likely. Regardless, stay weather aware the next few days as a stray shower or storm will remain an isolated threat throughout the forecast period.
