Improving Weather Ahead

Real Time Regional Radar:

Thu – Partly Cloudy – High 83º / Thu Night – Increasing Clouds, Stray Shower Late – Low 65º

Good morning, the upper level trough that has been keeping rain chances in our area the past few days is finally pushing east which will keep things dry today. There could be some showers to the east of us, but we will see partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the lower 80s. Enjoy.

Tonight, we will see clouds on the increase ahead of our next disturbance which will cause more precipitation on Friday. There is a chance we could see an isolated shower late but otherwise expect to stay dry with a low around 65 degrees.

Fri – Mostly Cloudy; Sct’d Showers and Thunderstorms  – High 80º / Fri Night – Partly Cloudy, Cooler – Low 59º

On Friday a trough will just barely nose past the area, but this will be enough to cause more scattered showers and thunderstorms across the area. I know, it’s not fair.

Showers will overtake the area by daybreak tomorrow, and last through the early afternoon. Take a look at what the latest run of the 4KM NAM thinks the radar will look like at 7am tomorrow.

Models have been pretty consistent showing a broken line of showers (with a few rumbles of thunder) moving east throughout the day. Precipitation amounts should be less than 0.25″ except for some locally higher amounts in thunderstorms. The good news is that these showers are expected to clear out by Friday night.

Skies will become partly cloudy Friday night and our low will be on the cool side behind the trough as we drop into the upper 50s.

Sat– Partly Cloudy  – High 83º / Sat Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 64º

On Saturday, an upper level ridge will take over which means a beautiful day will take shape. Expect partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the lower 80s. Winds will be from the northeast early which will keep dew points low and make things more comfortable. The pleasant weather will stick around on Sunday as well so this weekend will be perfect for any outdoor plans.
