Today 3/21 – Sunny & Magnificent – High 73˚ / Tonight – Iso’d Showers – Low 48˚

6am 33˚ ~ 9am 48˚ ~ 12pm 63˚ ~ 3pm 72˚ ~ 6pm 65˚ ~ 9pm 60˚

High pressure will track off the southeast coast as we progress through the day, which will open the door for broad southwesterly flow across our proximity.

A warm front is located to our north, placing all of south central Kentucky in the warm sector of our next approaching weather system.  The current surface set up can be viewed below:

This will create southerly winds of 10-20mph, which will combine with plentiful amounts of sunshine to send temps into the low – mid 70s!

Definitely worth a self hi-five.

This afternoon, very low humidity & gusty winds will result in an increased wildfire threat across the region.  Please use caution and avoid creating outdoor flames:

Overnight, a cold front associated with the same low pressure system will begin to progress east across our proximity.  This will create an increase in cloud coverage, while also supplying enough forcing for a few showers to fire off.

Sat – Partly Cloudy – Iso’d Showers – High 60˚ / Sat Night – Scat’d Showers – Low 36˚

Zonal flow aloft should help keep things quiet for the most part.  With that being said, we can’t rule out a stray shower or two throughout the day.  Although temps look to reach near 60˚, it will still feel very mild thanks to winds of ~10mph pouring in from the northwest.

On Saturday night, moisture values will increase, and could spawn off a few more showers than we experience during the day.

Sun – Partly Sunny – High 47˚ / Sun Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 28˚

Northwest winds will continue to pester us through the end of the weekend, limiting temperatures to the mid – upper 40s.  The title of this post says it all.  If you love the outdoors, get out there today.  The weekend does not look very appealing.  Figures…right?

We’ll keep much cooler conditions around through the start of next week, with a few chances at rain in the forecast.  Overall, outside of the cool down through the weekend, there’s not much to discuss.

That’s going to wrap up the morning post.  As always, stay in touch with @WxOrNotBG & @WarrenCountyWx for the latest in real-time weather info.  Have a great end to the work week.  Thanks for reading!
