Winter Storm Warning Issued

The Louisville National Weather Service has upgraded the entire viewing area to a Winter Storm Warning.  This warning is valid for Butler & Edmonson County from 9pm Sunday – 12pm Monday, while Allen, Barren, Logan, Simpson and Warren County will be under the warning from 3pm Sunday – 12pm Monday.

Impacts from this event are expected to unfold thanks to significant amounts of ice and snow.  We will start out with all liquid precipitation tonight, with a changeover to a wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet expected between mid morning and mid afternoon Sunday.  Roads conditions will likely become treacherous, while power outages also remain a threat, as ice accretion takes place on power lines and trees.  Please prepare before this weather system hits.  You still have plenty of time to do so.
