Cue reaction to… “No snow in the forecast today.”

Today 2/11 – Partly Sunny – High 34˚/ Tonight – Partly Cloudy – Low 13˚

6am 13˚ ~ 9am 19˚ ~ 12pm 27˚ ~ 3pm 34˚ ~ 6pm 26˚ ~ 9pm 20˚

Scattered snow showers will accompany bitter cold temp  My apologies…I seem to have developed a bad habit due to recent weather events.  CHANGE HAS ARRIVED!  It’s not much, but it’s different, and that’s enough to put a smile on this guy’s face.  First thing’s first…the morning commute will be COLD.  So, there’s that.  Dress warm, etc, etc..

Canadian high pressure to our north will provide partly to mostly sunny skies across the region today.  You can get a better idea of the setup by taking a glance at the model above.

With sun rays in the sky, one would think an increase in temperatures would be in store.  Don’t get your hopes up.  Northerly winds should keep highs in the low – mid 30s this afternoon.  Tonight, we’ll be partly cloudy and cold, as lows tumble into the lower teens.

Wed – Partly Sunny, Iso’d Snow Showers – High 37˚ / Wed Night – Clear – Low 17˚

A mix of sun & clouds will return to the sky on Wednesday, as a disturbance churns to our southeast.  This weather produce may sneak moisture far enough north to reach us, which may result in isolated/scattered snow showers.

The models have trended right on the line of our southern counties with potential for light accumulations, so I’ll keep a slight chance in the outlook.  I think most of us, if not all, will stay dry.  Here’s a look at the GFS Precip model, valid for 6pm Wednesday evening.  It likes the idea of the wet stuff staying to our southeast:

On Wednesday night, high pressure will build back into our proximity, clearing skies and allowing lows to tumble into the teens.  Really not too much to talk about.

Thu – Sunny – High 46˚ / Thu Night – Partly Cloudy – Low 31˚

Our conditions look to improve for a brief spell on Thursday, as a surface ridge attempts to build north from the Gulf.  We should see partly to mostly sunny skies set off a rebound in our temperatures, with help from southerly winds cranking across the area.

That’s going to wrap up the morning update.  Stay connected to @WarrenCountyWx & @Wx_Or_Not for the latest in weather information.  Enjoy your Tuesday, and thanks for reading.
