Even this guy is tired of winter.

This Afternoon – Cloudy, Scat’d Snow Showers – 27˚ & Falling / Tonight – Cloudy & Cold, Flurreis – Low 19˚

3pm 27˚ ~ 6pm 25˚ ~ 9pm 23˚ ~ 12am 21˚ ~ 3am 21˚ ~ 6am 19˚

Cloud cover will stick around for the remainder of today and tonight, along with lingering snow showers/flurries.  Little to no accumulation will occur, so don’t freak out.  Maybe a light dusting, at best.  Those of you taking the evening commute, tavel with caution.  High pressure is tracking in from the west, which will keep northerly winds of 5-10mph in the forecast tonight.  This will result in temps falling into the upper teens.  Here’s a look at the current surface conditions:

Thu – Partly Cloudy – High 30˚ / Thu Night – Cloudy – Low 11˚

High pressure will continue to build in from the west, however, sufficient moisture in the atmosphere will keep a fair amount of clouds in the sky.  Northerly winds of 5-10mph will coincide with chilly temperatures, creating a dreary Thursday.  Nothing to see here…

Fri – Partly Cloudy – High 32˚ / Fri Night – Iso’d Snow Showers – Low 21˚

The area of high pressure will finally track off to our east as we progress throughout our Friday, which may give us a glimpse of a few rays of sun in the process.  Don’t let the rays deceive you, folks, as temperatures will remain limited to the lower 30s.

Friday night, a weak disturbance looks to track in from our west, bringing with it the potential for isolated, light snow showers.  As of this time, accumulations look unlikely. Those located to the north of Bowling Green may see very minor amounts, but nothing significant.

Here’s a look at the latest GFS precip model loop, valid from 12pm Fri – 12pm Sat in 6-hour increments.  Notice the area of high pressure tracking to our northeast, allowing for our next weather event to move in.  This should give you a better idea of how this system may evolve:

That’s it for the time being.  Nothing much to talk about, as a series of cold, dreary days will make up the remainder of the work week.  Our weekend looks to include a series of weak weather makers, that will keep slight chances of snow showers in the forecast.  I’ll have more on this as we get closer to time.
