PERFECT late costume idea for Halloween…it will go great with the forecast!

Today – Partly Cloudy, Iso’d Showers – High 68 / Tues Night – Iso’d Showers – Low 56

7am 46 ~ 10am 55 ~ 1pm 64 ~ 4pm 68 ~ 7pm 60

**Dense Fog Advisory Until 9am**

Warm front will take shape and advance north across the area late in the day, which will create an environment conducive for isolated showers to develop during the afternoon. A stray storm or two will also be possible. The vast majority of us should enjoy partly sunny skies.

The best chance at us seeing the wet stuff won’t arrive until the overnight, then taper of throughout the early part of Wednesday. No severe weather expected. Here is a look at the current surface model. The stationary front near south central Kentucky will transition to a warm front, lifting north:

Wed – Partly Cloudy, Iso’d Storms – High 76 / Wed Night – Scat’d Showers & Storms – Low 59

7am 58 ~ 10am 67 ~ 1pm 74 ~ 4pm 76 ~ 7pm 62

Warm front will be located to our north, as an associated low pressure system begins to advance toward the Great Lakes. Isolated showers and storms will remain possible on Wednesday night as a result, otherwise, partly sunny. Again, severe weather is not expected.

Thu – Showers & Storms Likely – High 70 / Thu Night – Showers & Storms Likely – Low 50

Continuing to keep a close eye on our upcoming Halloween (Thursday) holiday, as it looks like a strong weather maker may evolve across our area. A potent cold front looks to advance west to east across our proximity, creating the likelihood for widespread showers and storms.

A few of these could be strong, even severe, producing damaging winds and torrential rain. Localized flooding looks to be the main threat, however, it will need to be monitored as it evolves. Rainfall amounts for Thursday could top 2″.

Have a look at the latest convective outlook from the SPC, which outlines a 30% probability of severe weather occurring within 25 miles of a point on Thursday for all of south central Kentucky:

That will be all for the time being, folks.  I’ll return this afternoon with another look at the forecast.  Have a great Tuesday!
